The 2016 ZNN Year in Review!

Art by the ever-awesome Sendrax

Happy New Year everyone!  As 2017 approaches, let’s take a moment and reflect on what the past year has brought us.

To say that 2016 has been life-changing for me is an understatement.  Who could have guessed that a movie about a bunch of talking animals could have inspired such a wonderful community?  I certainly would have never guessed I would watch a single film over and over and over again while it was in theaters, and countless times afterwards- I’ve never done that with a movie before.

And I guarantee if you had told me I would be leading a team of over two dozen people from around the world, working to make a website that has gained thousands of daily followers and millions of views… I would have laughed.  I just wasn’t that sort of person.  Everything I had tried ended up falling apart early on, so what was the point?

But with a motto, an obsession, and the dedication of myself and every other member of the ZNN team, we have tasted success.  And it tastes delicious.

So join us after the break, as we dive into the best that this fandom has given us this year, based on just how popular they have been on ZNN!  If there’s anything you haven’t seen before, be sure to check it out- you won’t be disappointed!

And as we head into a new year, remember, as always…

Try Everything!

  1. Glad to see this site survived until 2017. I look forward to the celebration article for next New Years. Have a great year and rest of break. 😉

  2. My story made number one in top five fan fics! Yay! Now I need to get my arse in gear and work on the spin off that I previewed at the end of the last chapter.

  3. And a Happy New Year to you all as well! Gee, came on late and I still managed to see most of these when they actually came out; I guess that says something about the momentum this site is still gaining…

  4. I'm not surprised to see so many of Eric Schwartz's comics in the English section. There aren't that many of them, but he's had some of the best Zootopia comics out there. Awkward Call is really a high point, and it covers not only some funny elements, but also some very real insecurities that can arise in any relationship.
