Hello again, Zootopia aficionados. And welcome to our 10th Anniversary Art of the Day Collection, brought to you by the good folks at ZNN.

Yes, it’s really been 10 years since Zootopia first hit the silver screen. To give you an idea of how long that is—since then, we’ve had 3 different Presidents, a pandemic that seemed to drag on forever, and 12 different live-action remakes of Disney animated films.

On the other paw, we finally have our sequel…and it was you, the Zootopia fandom, that helped make it happen.  With the fanart you created, the fanfiction you wrote, and all your non-stop activity—I’m looking at you, my fellow ZNN staff members—you kept the flame burning for all these years.  And from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

Happy decennium! 10 years ago today, Zootopia released in theatres across the United States, becoming the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2016 and winning the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. In celebration of our favorite movie’s 10-year anniversary, we have a very special interview with Zootopia 2 producer Yvett Merino. Andy and Pinkstar get the amazing opportunity to chat with Merino and ask her some great questions about Zootopia, both past, present, and future!

To celebrate the release, ZNN will be hosting a laid-back community watch party over on our Discord, and everyone’s invited to come hang out! We’ll be running a full double feature of Zootopia and Zootopia 2 back-to-back, starting at 12:00 AM EST on December 4th and running all the way until about 3:00 AM EST on the 5th—which conveniently means our Pacific folks can stick around until midnight too!

The idea is simple: jump into the stream, watch the movies with the community, and chat along as the story unfolds. Text commentary and reactions are absolutely encouraged, and we’ll periodically spice things up with random raffles throughout the stream. Just by joining and watching along, you’ll be entered, and we’ll be giving away six of the Miniso Zootopia figures (or “LaZooZoos,” as I’m calling them) to lucky viewers during the marathon. Whether you stay for one movie or the entire 27-hour hangout, it should be a fun way for the community to experience the films together! Join our Discord here!

Who’s ready to go frame by frame through Zootopia 2? I know I am! Well, good news, you can do that via Disney+ starting Wednesday, March 11, 2026!  Obviously, everyone here is a big fan of the movies and world, but I really can’t wait to be able to stream this movie anytime I want. Maybe even get a double feature going! This is perfect timing with the tenth anniversary of the first film just days away. Check out the official announcement below!

Movie reviews are something that go well beyond the professional media landscape. There is, of course, the widely regarded Rotten Tomatoes or Siskel and Ebert. But as technology has evolved and people turn more and more to video form content, the need for alternatives was very real and necessary. Cinemawins, and its negative counterpart Cinemasins, are known for reviews of movies of all types. Both have done takes on older and more classic films as well as covering more recent ones, even diving into different takes on the first Zootopia. Recently, Cinemawins has decided to take a stab at the sequel.  But no matter your preference for movie reviews, there are plenty out there for you to choose from to get other people’s opinions on it before watching it yourself. Though I’m sure many of us would have seen the film regardless of any critical reception to it. Still, this one is worth a watch, so take a watch below and let us know in the comments which spin you prefer.

Zootopia knows how to deliver a confession scene. Both in the first movie and the second, the scenes in which the duo confess true feelings are powerful and fantastic. Take a look at this video, showcasing the entire confession scene from the second movie, as well as a bit of commentary from Jared and Byron.

Of course, there was an interview with Jared during a panel with othe rOscar nomines, in which he referred to Nick and Judy as “a Couple.” Something a lot of us already kind of feel, it seems. Take a look at that below!

Hello everyone! We have a very special collaboration with The Wilde Times Show, created by Moony_95 and Mapache Aplastado! They are hosting a 5-week project, with each week being a new theme.
