Art of the Day #357: Rainy Days and Rainy Nights

Greetings and welcome, fans of Zootopia. Today’s Art of the Day collection centers around the subject of rain.

When you think about it, there was very little actual rainfall shown in the film. The only time we really saw it coming down was while Nick and Judy were being chased by Mr. Manchas. Before and after, even during the rest of their sojourn in the Rainforest District, there was mist, but no rain. (And even that may have been artificially generated, witness the sprinkler-system we saw during Judy’s train-ride into the city.)

Luckily for us, there’s a virtual cornucopia of rain-themed Zootopia fan-art (and conceptual art) out there on the net.

Enjoy….and don’t forget to show the original artists some love by clicking on the source-links.

Music please, Mr. Deejay

We open with some rain-related concept art.

Sometimes, on rainy days, the best thing to do is just hang out indoors with some coffee and a good friend; either at home…

Of course in Zootopia, you can’t talk rain without at least mentioning the Rainforest District.

Of course Nick and Judy look nervous; the last time they encountered this jaguar, he tried to tear them both to pieces.

Not all Zootopia Rain-Art is fluff.  Some if has a darker theme.
And that calls for some darker music
