As we get ever closer to the release of Zootopia 2, the deluge of information and teasers will start flowing more heavily to keep the anticipation hype real. There have already been quite a few interviews with members of the cast and crew about what new things we can expect from the upcoming film. Have you ever wondered about how much Biological allusion is included in these films? Certainly, there are bits and pieces tied to the actual animal counterparts and how they interact and co-exist in the real ecosystem. Like, did you know that snakes can roll? But there was actually a fair amount of research that went into this film about Reptiles. Their place in the biosphere was very much taken into consideration, even if it is expanded upon. Jared Bush and Bryon Howard were also brought in for an additional gambit of questions exploring a few new details that haven’t been explored just yet. Much of it talks about the world-building they explored and expanded upon for the new film. So check out both below and let us know which facts most interest and excite you in the comments below.

Reptilian Research

Interview with Mr. Bush and Howard

  1. I havent really heard anything that put my mind at ease abount reptiles. Byron wanting to include reptiles and making them not feel out of place are very different things. If mammals dont know that reptiles evolved on a global scale that would mean that reptiles dont even have cities and infrastructure. And if they aware of it, and are still treat standoff-ish about them, thats sort of trivializes the whole predator prey conflict as something that has been solves and not something that people have to keep working on to be better like Judy said at the end of the movie. Really hope there will be a good reason why they had to become people instead of expanding the worldbuilding into unexplored directions like how does the ecosysted works what wild animals are hiding in the forests, what makes zootopians respect and carr abount nature, are there even land based wild-life and pets in this world?

Looking forward to the movie but depending how realistic the ecosysted and nature will be thanks to sapient reptiles many might find it less appealing than the “only mammals evolved” worldbuilding of the first movie
