Art of the Day #112: Adventure is Out There!

First Bonds AU by Caliosidhe

From the tallest giraffe to the smallest mouse, all mammals throughout Zootopia’s history have at one point or another felt a yearning for adventure. So, consider this art of the day post to be the thematic opposite of our sci-fi showcase: today’s all about High Adventure!

After all, be they in Feudal Japan, Ancient Egypt, or a world of magic and mystery… our favorite fox and bunny are always prepared for what awaits. Especially on the high seas, should they find themselves there. They even brought their own ship!

Get your art after the break!

(P.S. Sorry this has been a very slow week from ZNN. We’ve had a lot of setbacks, including some pretty nasty sickness, but we’ll try harder next week, I promise.)

  1. As always, the art of the day is fascinating! So many variations in style and subject material! Thanks again for pulling it all together into one convenient location!

And regarding the apology for the "slow week": This is a fan website, run by fans, showcasing fan material, relaying news gathered by the fans, and all for the free enjoyment of other fans. No apologies are needed. It's incredible that there's even a "hub" for this one single movie, let alone such an active hub like ZNN! I know you hold yourselves to high standards, but just remember that ever little thing you do is appreciated!

  2. I joined the community in a bad place, the stories, the art were all so amazing. I get challenged by a friend to write for the NaNoWriMo event. I decide I have this little story in mind involving Zootopia so I accept and start writing for ZNNs NaZoWriMo equivalent. An event hosted by ZNN for writers, a community event. 9 moths later? Not a peep, radio silent the event was left to simply quietly disappear.

My story was surprisingly well received despite how crappy I think it turned out, heck an artist even drew a cover for it out of nothing more then appreciation for the story. I submit the story for the event, I ask several times weeks later, months later, resubmitted the story that I wrote FOR ZNN several times. What a shock I experienced when the cover art that artist drew for me shows up on ZNN as a featured piece as "Unknown Title" when even in the included link is direct reference and direct link to the story I wrote for ZNNs own event! I would say I was disappointed but really all I am as tired at this point.

    • I am so, so sorry about that. I didn't realize that was the cover art for your story. Believe me, at this point I'm thinking we officially scrap the whole NaZoWriMo thing and feature your story on its own. You're absolutely right, this has been ridiculous, and I sincerely apologize for it.
