Good day, Zootopians!
It’s been a while since I made a post, eh? Today marks a special place in our hearts as one of, if not the most, beloved movies of our time was released this day, 4 years ago! I know I wouldn’t be where I am now if it were not for this movie. Certain events and people I have met would not have been possible if it were not for this movie. My life direction changed because of this movie. I am a furry now because of this movie.
This film has been special to each one of us for a variety of reasons and it brings the community together once a year in a way I’ve not seen much elsewhere. It’s like we know something special happened that day and we stream it for hours on end each anniversary and we join together to watch, laugh and relive all the wonderful moments it brought us.
It seems Disney recognizes and remembers this too, for they uploaded today a spotlight video on the film! Sure, it was short, sweet and detailing information most of us probably know by now – but it is still a nice gesture by the mouse himself to acknowledge this film and the importance it had on pop culture (and the fountain of memes that followed). It details small tidbits like the different newscasters, the origin of certain cars designed for the film and more. It’s a nice nod to the fans and a hopeful reminder of the potential future for this world and its characters.
And as always, try everything!
