While we saw the great tale of Zootopia 2 from Nick and Judy’s perspective, a lot of drama was likely going on in the background, especially if you were a certain awkward Lynx. But SecondCog goes out of his way in not only showing the plot and leadup to the Zootennial gala and beyond from Pawbert’s perspective, but diving deep into who he is, what he wants, how he discovered himself and what mammals shaped him into being who he is. An excellent and intriguing character study, one where watching this character grow, learn, develop, pick up wisdom and take his gambles and dig himself deeper more than justifies the fic by itself… -and that’s all before you start picking up some intriguing little hints that this may not quite be the story you’re familiar with.
