For all you adrenaline junkies out there, get your fix with this devilishly entertaining story of danger, cunning, and excitement out on the high seas. The first part in the “Of Salt and Steel” series, Judy, the fearless rabbit she is, has to work with a swashbuckling yet shrewd fox pirate in order to track down and vanquish bloodthirsty rebels. While reading this, I couldn’t help but admire how absorbing the setting was, the combat making it feel like I was right in the middle of the intense carnage, rooting for our fox and rabbit to come out on top. Those who want the two of them to be involved romantically will have to keep reading on in the series for that to happen, but there’s still a whole lot to enjoy in this terrific work, including amusing banter, expressive prose, and yes, bloody, bloody action. – DrummerMax64

In a far off time, before the ease of modern convenience, the world was one of honour and death and blood spilled in the service of kings. To one such prosperous kingdom, Zoohaven, a daring rabbit captain has pledged her service, and is ordered across the sea to hunt down a renegade of their allies. Much is at stake, but Captain Judith is unperturbed; after all, rabbits are lucky, and where luck fails, she has a conscripted fox to supply trickery in place.
