Every movie, no matter how big or small the budget, has a planning period to go through before it enters production. Scripting, storyboarding, development, rigging, and many other steps are involved in the process of making an animated film work. Disney has had many generations of it’s animated films going back several decades through multiple iterations. But when it comes to Zootopia, there was a bit more freedom. The franchise is fairly new, so it allows the company more freedom in what it can and cannot do. This was less true for the sequel since it was building on the first film in addition to meeting fan expectations. Are you curious as to what went into the production of Zootopia 2?
