Video: Why no one expected Pawbert (By: Barley)

There is an old idiom that says to expect the unexpected. Both preparation and readiness for things that might come up are basic tenets of survival. Whether one learns this from their parents or life in general, the lesson is nonetheless important. But when it comes to storytelling, it isn’t quite so cut and dry. For Zootopia, both movies have elements of them. Both Dawn Bellwether and Pawbert Lynxley are set up with a similar context in mind, that they are there as masters of manipulation. Manipulating either the Mayor or Judy and Nick themselves. Neither truly accomplishes their goals, but they are memorable all the same. In a recent video by Barley, the content creator discusses the latter film’s attempt at this. It is an interesting look into the character and plot development surrounding Pawbert.
