Hey everyone! We are two weeks away from the 10-year anniversary of ZNN, and with the goal of delivering a card to every member of the Disney staff on that day in mind, we have some updates and announcements for y’all.
First, we’ve gotten over 100 submissions so far to the project! This is absolutely fantastic! Thank you all so much to those who have contributed so far.
However, we need a lot more. It’s clear that at this point some messages may go to multiple people, but we would like to at least have enough so that no two people in the same department get the same message. If we can get 300 in total, that should be enough! And remember, you can submit as many messages as you want, so long as they are unique!

Additionally, ZNN needs your help in another way to make this happen.
You may have noticed a recent addition to the site: a banner asking for donations, wikipedia style. That’s not just there for show- we really need your help to make this whole thing come together.
You see, ZNN makes… not much money. We don’t run ads, we don’t have sponsors, we don’t have affiliate links. This is by design- we’ll never promote something on here that we don’t genuinely believe you, our reader, will like. I despise how news sites are these days, with paywalls, pop-ups, and so many ads you can’t even tell what is and isn’t the article.
However, the tradeoff is that we operate at a deficit most months- hosting costs are over $90/month and we currently make around $67/month on Patreon. I usually cover the difference out of my own pocket, but I don’t make very much at my jobs, so it can be a bit tight sometimes. Furthermore, doing special projects like this costs a lot, and I’m worried we might not have enough money to pay to get the cards printed- at least, not in time.
So, we turn to you. Our community. If you want us make this project happen, to give every single person who worked on Zootopia 2 their own unique thank-you message on the 10th anniversary of ZNN, we need your help.
I estimate that the cost of printing and shipping 1509 postcards will be around $1000 in total. We’ll do what we can to reduce the cost, but this is the number we’re currently looking at. Now if any of you, by some miracle, own a printing shop and would be willing to give us a special deal, contact me directly at [email protected]. Otherwise, if you have anything you can spare (and I know times are tough so I want to stress- don’t give what you don’t have), and you want this project to succeed… please, consider donating.

The initial goal for the Thank-You Cards is $1000. If we can reach that, then excess funds will go towards ZNN’s annual hosting costs ($1,080) and federal and state fees to being officially registered as a nonprofit ($1000). None of it will go to any person- it’s all for ZNN.
