[Site news] How we will be rating the content of Fanfics and other submissions

Something that I’ve come to realize as people have been submitting their fanfics is that there needs to be a system in place for people to know what sort of content they’re getting themselves into.  I was planning on making up an entirely new system based partially on movie ratings (with a special “HBO” rating for things that aren’t pornographic, but imply sex so heavily they may as well be in Game of Thrones).

Fortunately, it turns out I don’t need that thanks to the good people at fictionratings.com.  This is the system that FanFiction.net uses, and I think that, with some minor tweaks, it will suits this site’s needs well enough.  If you are are unfamiliar with this system, check it out after the break.

One other note regarding Fanfiction: We will accept fics from any source: FanFiction.net, Archive of our Own, Deviantart, Google Docs- wherever you post it is fine with us.  Just make sure that the story is able to be viewed by the general public.

Thank you so much for reading, and we look forward to reading and sharing your stories!
