Welcome back Zootopians!
And welcome back one in particular.
No, you don’t have that wrong, your eyes are not deceiving you, it is true. Don’t Let Go is BACK.
For new readers, this may just seem like another long gone fic from the heydays of the fandom returning to great applause, but for those who know. For those who remember… This wasn’t just a fic that shone bright with its contents, in this case its fantastic worldbuilding and some deep emotional ooomph discussion you did not expect coming (plus some slathering of humour too). This (Spoiler warning for rest of the paragraph) had you thinking the characters were about to wrap up their case when it dropped on you that no, this was not going to be a clean ending, all this time the bad guys had been weaving their spiders web of a trap and, by the time the characters realised what was going on, there was no clean escape, seemingly no hope of a happily ever after, and as its machinations went on we saw our characters dropped and manipulated into one of the most heartbreaking and horrifying cliffhangers imaginable…
And then?
-Well, now you know why I, and so many others, are excited to see this return. And not just return, but do a full rewrite to be Zoot-2 compatible… -A rewrite that means you need to read the chapter before this new one for some important changes (however much trauma that will induce) before launching back forward once more.
A glorious and welcome return, and at the same time, we have Fallout returning to its weekly updates, a nice new post from The Fall: Inheritence, and VariableMammal revving up again with three new Different Tails chapters.
All plenty for us to enjoy.
