Hello once again everybody…and welcome to this week’s Art of the Day collection.
As many of you good folks are already aware, another one of our favorite artists is the ever-amazing ASKalin. Since his return to the fandom last year, Asky’s art has only continued to improve…and never has that been better illustrated than by today’s Featured Image. Seriously, if this one won’t bring you to the edge of your seat, you’ve been stuck there with Velcro.
Whoa, there’s just so much incredible detail here; we especially like the tracer-bullet shattering the cruiser’s headlamp and then exiting though the fender, missing Judy by only a whisker . (ASKalin himself said the toughest part of creating this pic was getting the road surface right.)
And like all the best Zootopia fan-artists, Asky is always his own harshest critic. In the original version of this work, he gave Judy an extra finger…a mistake that practically nobody noticed until he pointed it out. And for those of you taking note of Judy’s injury and wondering, “Will she be okay?” ASKalin also created a follow-up pic, which you’ll see when you scroll down–along with lots of other great Zootopia fanart. I felt myself involutarily leaning closer to my TV no doubt… and I’m sitting on the ground! The first one was quite suspensful ngl. Love the detail too!
