Awrite Sweetheart, drop that heater and get over here. Today’s Art of the Day is dedicated to Zootopia as Film Noir, washed out colors, dark lighting, hard-boiled detectives, shady characters, femme fatales, and every deal’s a double cross.
Though Film Noir might seen like a B-List movie genre today, the list of directors who oversaw Noir films reads almost like a who’s who of 1950’s Hollywood: John Huston (The Asphalt Jungle), Howard Hawks, (The Big Sleep), Billy Wilder, (Double Indemnity), and even Fritz Lang, director of Metropolis (a whole slew of them!).
