    • Gotta' admit, it's had quite the ripple effect across the fandom! I keep on seeing it brought up in discussions wherever I look, regardless of if the art or story is similar. (I see a lot of that in particular, though; my current fanfic is a Judy/Nick pregnancy, although it was never meant to take any inspiration from the IWS debate which was being released at the same time.)
I'd say that makes the comic a positive thing on the whole. It's got the fandom inspired and talking, regardless of if one agrees with it or not.

    • Miy own story is based loosely off of IWS, but with a different focus – much like the Different Tails chapter, Judy's not concerned about her career as she is about the outcome of giving birth, though I kind of decided to push her to an extreme reaction that in hindsight Judy knew was well out of line for herself. Mine's also not set during the event but years after the fact. I definitely agree that borba might have chosen the wrong argument to frame things around though – I figured the argument would always be framed around the uniqueness of the situation and not her career. Some people like to claim that any deviation from the formula is 'out of character' when they forget that the formula of WildeHopps is in of itself 'out of character' when you consider just the film on its own. As it turns out borba is writing a follow-up called The Tundratown Thaw. No doubt some of the ire will be brought on that but as it seems IWS was more a set-up for that than a standalone, who knows what will happen there?

Back on topic, I did think that this was a much more logical outcome for Nick and Judy.
