Zootopia is in the American Film Institute’s top 10 movies of the year. This is an INCREDIBLE honor! Believe it or not, while there have been many animated movies in the AFI’s top 10 in the past,(most being Pixar), this is the first movie by Disney Animation Studios to be afforded such a prestigious position. Not even Frozen made that list- and they do take cultural impact into account when they make their decisions.
So, major congratulations are in order for the phenomenal team that brought us what is now officially the best Disney movie in decades! Check out the full list here!
Hopefully this helps its Oscar chances.
